Regardless of your feelings about Pitchfork, you owe it to yourself to watch the first installment of Don’t Look Down, a series on the newly launched Pitchfork.tv, in which the Portland-based punk trio performs four tracks of pure social unrest bliss. It’s a good setlist too!
The thing I love about The Thermals so much is that they’re a punk rock band. Not like the kind on mtv, like the kind that Black Flag spawned in the eighties: a real, genuine punk band playing songs about the corrupt government, crooked religious institutions, & capitalism. Pure beauty; raw, blistering, fast beauty.
