In some of the more exciting news I’ve heard this week, everyone’s favorite Slow-rocker’s, and I’m speaking of Low, have announced plans to release a Christmas-themed 7” and three European one off’s which are being billed as Holiday shows. The 7” features “Santa is Coming Over” b/w “The Coming of Jah,” which is apparently as reggae as it’s name suggests.
While the very thought of this makes me jump for joy (if you haven’t caught on, I really like Low, and I really like the Holidays and their music), I can’t help but be saddened that none of these shows are happening within driving distance of me.
Alas, I’ll soldier on and pick up that 7” when it comes out November 4th (Sub Pop), both stateside and in Europe, and in the meantime I have to go dust off my copy of Low’s fantastic Christmas EP.
